about

Like a soft vintage cardigan, they proudly and comfortably wear their influences on their sleeve. Strewn throughout their brand of ramshackle stumble-pop, you'll hear traces of IRS-era R.E.M.,Yo La Tengo, and Guided By Voices to name a few. Their new EP, After The Batteries Die, was recorded under the guidance of veteran engineer Tom Herbers (Grant Hart, Low, Cactus Blossoms) and represents a band emerging from a pandemic-induced hibernation with a confident urgency.

Lyrically, the songs examine the nature of life’s relationships where both empathy and frustrated bemusement find a voice. Sonically, the songs dart between driving, jagged post-punk, (Emerald Lloyd) head-bobbing jangle, (Nightmare Afternoon) and soaring, anthemic pop (The Witch Boy). In short, there is something here for everyone: Six songs of collage and cohesion sure to satisfy any true music fan.
